My Story….

This classroom is noisy! The teacher is talking too FAST! I can’t keep up! Why are there all these words on the page? Why can everyone else in the class read and I struggle?  What is wrong with me?

These comments are all too common among bright kids who wrestle with reading and writing.

For over twenty years I empathized with this group of students as I had grown up in a home where my mother had dyslexia and ADD ran through our genes. After graduate school I realized there were strategies to help kids like me.

Through adaptive teaching, a quiet environment and an enormous amount of repetition and PATIENCE students could conceivably improve.
The Taylor Learning Center began in my living room.  As the needs and number of students grew beyond capacity, we transitioned into a bustling multi-room facility on Main Street in Kaysville.

Passion surrounds our tutoring business.  I have employed the best of certified teacher tutors, who share the same passion.  Each teacher excels in different specialties, which allows us to provide advanced teaching skills to any child in need from K-12 grade. I will never veer from my original platform of one-on-one tutoring, it is a highly important aspect of my practice.

It is why we are so successful and continue to grow year by year with incredible clients and referrals.   It is a team effort and a lot of hard work but the reward is so sweet!!! We can’t wait to have you visit our Taylor Learning Center to see how we can be of service.
